Litigation Associate
About The Position
Our Miami office seeks a talented Associate with 2+ years of civil or commercial litigation experience, preferred. Background in insurance defense, premise liability, construction, and other complex litigation a plus. Your Day-to-Day: Draft/review and respond to substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery Attend/chair hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients, as well as negotiate settlements Assist with trial preparation and/or attend trial. Must be competent & proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel Communicate in a highly effective manner with team members and clients Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of civil or commercial litigation experience
- Competent & proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
- Strong skills in legal research, writing, and persuasive oral advocacy
- An intrinsic client-first approach, ensuring impeccable service
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Member of Florida Bar in good standing
