About The Position

Payson Market is seeking a Liquor Department Clerk to join their team. This role requires accuracy, high productivity, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive work environment, maintain strong relationships with other departments, and ensure the department is clean, organized, and well-stocked. This position involves operating various equipment and maintaining department records.

Requirements

• Certification required for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Other city, county, state, or federal certifications may be required.
• Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Required to use or operate pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, two-wheeler, six-wheeler, baler, ladder, etc.
• 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills preferred.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.
• Previous stocking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
• Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
• Maintains clean and organized department that promotes a great customer experience.
• Help Maintain adequate and appropriate department records at all times.
