About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is recruiting a Lineperson to join its manufacturing team in Goodyear, Arizona. This overnight-shift role runs Monday through Friday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Lineperson moves finished product from the packing area to the warehouse and helps prepare production lines at the start of shifts and when packaged products change.

Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to read and understand English communications.
• Knowledge of packing preparation procedures and product storage locations, acquired through one month of on-the-job training.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to pull or pump jacks carrying up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of items moved through constant attention.
• Ability to check a computer for scanning errors.

Responsibilities

• Move product from the packing area to the warehouse by pulling jacks loaded with product.
• Accurately scan finished product into inventory using scanning equipment.
• Order cartons and liners for packers from the material handler.
• Set up mats and cartons for packers before daily production begins.
• Prepare the packing area when packaging different products.
• Help cover breaks and lunches.
• Help clean the packing-room floor and equipment weekly.
• Safely maneuver skids weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Reach and stack items above head level.
• Work proactively with cross-functional teams and diverse groups of people.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
