About The Position
This is a full-time, onsite position at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. We are looking for someone reliable who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of showing up every day ready to be part of a team. The purpose of this role is to provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. The Linen Technician is responsible for filling and moving linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital, providing a superior level of linen service in a friendly, professional, and timely manner while meeting established quality and safety standards. Linen may work behind the scenes, but it is essential to patient care. Every clean sheet, gown, towel, and piece of linen you deliver helps hospital staff care for their patients safely and efficiently. Our Linen Technicians are an important part of keeping the hospital running every single day.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to push and pull clean and soiled linen carts weighing up to 800 lbs. on wheels
- Sufficient manual dexterity to build and stock linen carts
- Ability to consistently perform physical activities including bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematics
