About The Position

The Linen Services Technician stores, inventories, issues, distributes, and collects uniforms, bed linens, patient linens, and table linens across the organization and its support locations for patients and ancillary services. The role ensures clean linen is available in sufficient quantities, fulfills requisitions, transports linen carts to patient floors, and maintains the linen room. The technician also works with customers and the lead and supervisor to support responsive service and improve customer experience.

• One year of linen or housekeeping/EVS/cleaning experience in a hospital, school, or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, distribute, separate, and provide sufficient quantities of clean linen and uniforms.
• Examine laundered items to ensure they are clean and serviceable before distribution.
• Store laundered items on shelves to established par levels and record items distributed.
• Track and assemble laundered items on carts or linen trucks, fill requisitions with sufficient linens and uniforms, and transport carts to patient floors.
• Track linen products to identify items for replacement and replenishment of par levels, and keep the linen room clean and orderly.
• Collect soiled linens throughout the campus and support locations.
• Supply clean scrubs and coats and collect soiled items from the scrubEx unit and program units.
• Communicate with customers, make routine contact, work closely with the lead and supervisor to improve customer service, and respond to requests in a timely manner.
