About The Position
The Linen Attendant provides laundry services to patient care areas and performs all duties in accordance with established Fairfield Medical Center policies, procedures, and guidelines. This is a part-time position at the FMC Main Campus in Lancaster, Ohio, with an evening shift and a 0.50 position allocation.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- On-the-job training.
- Excellent communication and human relations skills when dealing with coworkers, other Center employees, medical staff, patients, families, and the general public.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Distribute clean linens to the units.
- Fold linens and stock carts for the units.
- Operate necessary equipment used in the care of linens.
- Participate in terminal cleaning activities.
- Report significant problems or issues to the supervisor.
- Collect soiled linens from all units.
- Assist Comtex with unloading and loading linens.
