About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating employee activities and material movement to meet the production schedule for the shift. The Line Leader ensures effective communication between departments and shifts, provides on-the-job training, and ensures compliance with quality standards and ISO procedures. This position also involves assisting with inventory, administrative tasks, reporting, and providing backup to the supervisor. The Line Leader will also assist in developing employee goals, providing input on performance evaluations, and supporting employees with their tasks and breaks. A key aspect of this role is working collaboratively with co-workers in a safe and professional manner, maintaining good attendance, and demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs. The individual must also continually learn and apply new skills, and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school
  • Previous similar experience
  • Previous or demonstrated proficiency at assembly or similar manufacturing work
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Effective/supportive communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be able to train and motivate others

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates employee activities and material movement to meet production schedule for shift
  • Ensures communication/information flow between departments and shifts is maintained and effective
  • Provides on the job training of employees as needed
  • Reads and follows work instructions, safety procedures, and completes various forms and reports
  • Works with key individuals to ensure compliance to Quality standards and ISO procedures
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventories, administrative tasks, and reporting accurate/timely
  • Provides back up to supervisor as needed
  • Assists in development of employee goals and provides input on performance evaluations
  • Assists employees with tasks and breaks as needed
  • Works with co-workers in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner
  • Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptable to changing business needs, and continually learns and applies new skills
  • Follows all company policies, procedures and ensures employees do the same
  • Meets minimum physical/mental requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
