About The Position

Coordinates and directs activities of workers engaged in molding or assembly of parts or assemblies into units by performing the following duties. This role involves leading a team of twenty or more hourly employees in assembly and/or molding operations, developing daily schedules, ensuring quality and production goals are met, and troubleshooting problems. The supervisor will provide technical leadership, recommend and implement equipment, process, and material enhancements, and analyze workforce utilization and workflow. Additionally, the role requires ensuring ISO procedures are followed, maintaining product integrity, and leading safety initiatives. Collaboration with business units, customers, and internal departments is key, as is researching and recommending production equipment procurement and identifying new technologies.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• One to two years related manufacturing experience and/or training

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree (A. A.) from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, directs, evaluates and provides training and leadership to twenty or more hourly employees for the assembly and/or molding operations.
• Develops daily schedules, ensures that quality and production goals are met, and troubleshoots problems as required.
• Provides technical leadership for department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements.
• Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.
• Ensures all ISO procedures are followed, integrity of product to standard, process improvement recommendations: SPC, and other quality systems developed and maintained.
• Ensures employees complete safety training, establishes safe work environment, and leads department safety team.
• Maintains constructive working relationship with business units, customers, and internal departments including effective communication, coordination of WIP and process improvement.
• Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, and identifies new technologies and expansion plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
