About The Position

The Line Lead assists the Supervisor in coordinating the department’s daily responsibilities. The role ensures the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to team members and carried out correctly and on time. The Line Lead monitors equipment to ensure it is working properly, reports maintenance needs to the Supervisor, and maintains a safe work environment while following Tyson policies and procedures. The position requires the ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, plant paperwork, and labels. This role is based at a facility producing hot dogs, cocktails, and sliced meats. The work involves a cold, damp environment, slippery walking surfaces, and extended periods standing on hard floors. Team members may need to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, as well as stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.

Requirements

At least 6 months of lead experience.
At least 6 months of machine operator experience.
Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, plant paperwork, and labels.
Ability and willingness to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 pounds; standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; standing 8–10 hours on hard floors; and performing repetitive motions.
Ability and willingness to work in a cold, damp environment and on slippery walking surfaces.
