About The Position

Hill's Resort is seeking Line Cooks and Pantry Cooks for its Back of House operations. The Line Cook is responsible for following recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines, setting up and stocking their designated line, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of their station. They must ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO), adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, and assist with prep work for other stations as needed. Effective communication with kitchen and Front of House staff during service is crucial, as is cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment at the end of each shift. The Pantry Cook specifically prepares and plates cold food items including salads, milkshakes, and all desserts, as well as hot appetizers. This role requires good organization skills and great attention to detail, with responsibilities mirroring those of the Line Cook in terms of station setup, stocking, cleanliness, food storage, safety, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines set by the kitchen leadership
  • Set up and stock designated line/pantry station with necessary ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station throughout the shift
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with prep work for other stations as needed
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, line cooks and Front of House staff during service
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment at the end of each shift
  • Ensure guest orders are prepared accurately, efficiently and consistently
  • Prepare and plate cold food items such as salads, milkshakes, all desserts as well as hot appetizers (Pantry Cook specific)
