About The Position
Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center is seeking candidates for an experienced AM Line Cook responsible for cooking Breakfast & Lunch items for the Water's Edge Restaurant and Banquet events. If cooking is your passion, we need you! Bring your culinary skills and join our team as a cook, where you can dazzle our guests with your high standards of quality through presentation, preparation, and cooking abilities. Most shifts will be 6am - 2pm, but may vary with earlier start times depending on business needs.
Requirements
- Must possess the ability to cook eggs and other common breakfast foods
- Experience with grill, fryer, broiler and saute required
- Availability to work mornings
- Weekends & holidays required
Responsibilities
- Prepare or direct preparation of breakfast & lunch items using established production procedures
- Learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation.
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
- Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
- Work with servers to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve complaints about food service as needed
- Other duties as assigned
