Requirements

  • Basic culinary skills, including knowledge of cooking techniques (ex: sauteing, roasting, baking, and plating), equipment operation, and food preparation.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a workstation and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Above average math skills.
  • A positive attitude and good manners.
  • Neat personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards.
  • Wash, chop, and season ingredients, and operate various cooking equipment (grills, fryers, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.
  • Set up the station, stock it with necessary supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Adhere to all food handling and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients, and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Prepare and cook food orders in a timely manner, ensuring efficient service and meeting customer expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including dishwashing and general cleaning tasks.
  • Follow recipes and procedures, ensuring consistent quality.
