About The Position

Our Cleanliness Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a kitchen that SHINES. Cleaning, washing dishes, and assisting with various tasks that support the smooth operation of the restaurant. This role often involves operating dishwashing machines, hand washing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. The mindset for this role is to keep the system running smoothly through cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and readiness for business.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a workstation and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Above average math skills.
  • A positive attitude and good manners.
  • Neat personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.

Responsibilities

  • Washing Dishes: Ensures safe and sanitary dishware and equipment through the operation of industrial dishwashing machines to clean plates, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
  • Hand Washing: Washing items that cannot be cleaned in the machine.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the dish area, work areas, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Trash Removal: Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles.
  • Support: Assisting with other kitchen tasks, such as food preparation, delivery, handling, or restocking supplies.
  • Food Safety: Adhering to food safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Other Duties: Assisting with other duties as requested by the chef or kitchen managers.
