About The Position

P.F. Chang's is hiring Line Cooks for a new restaurant opening. Line Cooks prepare food according to established recipes and procedures, accommodate guests’ needs, and follow safety and sanitation guidelines. Previous experience is not required; on-the-job training is provided. The position may involve preparing and cooking food, plating dishes under chef guidance, and setting up, operating, breaking down, and cleaning kitchen equipment. Team members may also assist with dishwashing, floor cleaning, equipment maintenance, and utensil sanitizing. Full-time and part-time hourly opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Previous experience is not required; training is provided.
• Have a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable, or obtain one with the company’s help.
• Have an interest in food and attention to detail when cooking, including knowledge of weights, measurements, and volumes.
• Ability to learn the restaurant menu and recipes.
• Knowledge of chemicals used in the building.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs., with frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to company specifications.
• Plate prepared foods based on chef guidance.
• Set up, operate, break down, and clean kitchen equipment.
• Assist as needed with washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and sanitizing utensils.
• Uphold restaurant kitchen sanitation and food service safety standards.
