About The Position
The Daily is an upscale cafe focused on serving delicious and nourishing food and beverages while connecting with the community. We are seasonally driven, healthfully influenced, and live our values. We prepare everything in-house, utilizing local ingredients whenever possible. We prioritize taking care of our team so they can take care of our guests. Line cooks are essential to our operation, working in an open kitchen to prepare quality food. Responsibilities include supporting seamless operations, preparing orders, developing recipes, completing daily checklists, and maintaining organization and cleanliness.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Open and flexible availability, including early mornings, afternoons, and weekends
- Solid understanding of fundamentals of cooking and knife skills
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling best practices
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Constant standing, walking, stopping
- Occasional kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing ladders, and carrying of up to 50lbs
