Alltown Fresh is looking to expand our family by adding a Line Cook 1 to our team! Requirements

  • Basic knife and food preparation skills.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and or holidays.
  • Understanding of safe food handling and storage.
  • Must obtain serve safe certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High ability to inspire, motivate, and recognize team.
  • Able to prioritize while completing tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Awareness of ingredients and potential allergens within recipes.
  • Pays special attention to guests who communicate certain allergies or specific diet concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with our culinary team, using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep.
  • Prep, label and stock ingredients while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
  • Interact with guests throughout the day showcasing passion for foodservice and exhibiting dedication towards hospitality.
  • Assist in interviewing candidates and training new culinary hires.
  • Communicate inventory and kitchen needs to Chef including but not limited to prep, grab and go items, cleaning and sanitization items and paper goods.
  • Understand and follow safe food handling procedures.
  • Follow established guidelines rotating stock items and storing produce at appropriate temperatures.
  • Take ownership of the dish station making sure area is set up and stocked as well as washing dishes as needed.
  • Follow and perform both daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
  • Empty trash as needed daily.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Commit to growing as a member of our leadership team.
