About The Position

Five Iron Golf is expanding its sports bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, combining golf technology with hospitality-driven service. The Line Cook/Dishwasher supports the team leader with kitchen operations and may take on additional tasks as directed. The role prepares, cooks, and delivers dishes to guests while helping maintain a clean, stocked, and organized kitchen. It also involves collaboration with front-of-house staff and providing consistently high customer service.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position at a new Austin location. Nights and weekends are required. Pay is $19–$21 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a line cook or in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and with a kitchen team, divide responsibilities, and monitor staff.
• Credentials in health and safety training.
• Certification that meets local requirements.
• Must be flexible with hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during normal operations.
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the kitchen when needed.
• Prepare appetizers and entrees and ensure food preparation keeps the kitchen and line fully stocked.
• Wash and sanitize pans, utensils, and dishes.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dish machine.
• Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine, then unload and organize them.
• Empty trash containers and maintain a clean work area by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Perform additional cleaning duties and clean food preparation stations and equipment as requested.
• Control and direct food preparation while collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service.
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest.
