About The Position

The Line Cook prepares food in a sanitary and timely manner, following restaurant recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications. This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Sunday, with 4–5 shifts per week. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 based on experience. The role also includes setting up and maintaining a station, restocking and taking inventory, caring for kitchen equipment, and helping keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized. High school diploma or GED is a plus but is not required; previous experience is a plus.

Requirements

A thorough understanding of professional cooking, including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
Previous prep or line cook experience.
Professional communication skills.
Availability Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

Set up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the chef or restaurant.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift and take inventory after service.
Clean and maintain stations while practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
Properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef.
