Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environment
  • Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Safe Food Handler's Certificate
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and event based hours

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary Trade Certification or Read Seal (an asset)
  • A passion for food and a drive to do your best every shift

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workstation at all times
  • Strictly adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines, including safe food handling, storage, and cleaning practice
  • Assisting with prep work, banquet plating, and a variety of cooking techniques depending on the event or service style
  • Working closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
  • Supporting kitchen leadership in maintaining a positive and productive environment
  • Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Taking pride in every plate that leaves your station
