About The Position

The Pictsweet Company in Monte Alto, Texas, is seeking experienced line attendants to prepare machinery and equipment for production and processing operations. The role includes setting up and monitoring blanching, conveyor, washing, and cooling equipment; managing water usage; and maintaining clean work areas. The attendant may operate a forklift when needed and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least six months of experience working in an industrial setting.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and signs, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Ability to obtain OSHA Forklift Certification.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Ability to work weekends, including holidays.
Ability to work rotating shifts, if necessary.
Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Set the blancher temperature and speed, position the blancher hood, and turn on the blancher belts, in-feed, and charge belts.
Turn on belts and adjust belt speeds.
Set bins and other receptacles to catch product as required.
Fill and monitor wash and cooling tanks with water.
Turn on and monitor cooling sprays, chlorine sprays, and flume water.
Monitor water usage and adjust or reduce water flow.
At the end of the shift, secure water and steam lines and shut off all belts and the blancher.
Operate a forklift if needed.
Maintain clean work areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
