About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Casual Line Attendant in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The role supports preparation, presentation, and service of food items, providing friendly and responsive support to create an exceptional dining experience. The attendant’s primary objective is to ensure excellent guest service while supporting coworkers and the smooth operation of the facility. The position involves delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to the serving line, preparing beverages, supplying ice, completing shift side work, and keeping serving areas clean and organized. The attendant observes guest experiences, responds courteously to requests, and assists coworkers as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
At least 1 year of experience as a food service worker in the food service industry.
Ability to work standing for long periods, including up to 8 hours, and to stand and move throughout a shift.
Ability to bend and kneel during a shift and lift up to 25 pounds or more.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Exceptional grooming habits.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently on individual tasks.
Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
Strong knowledge of proper food-handling procedures.
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
Government-issued clearance at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

ServeSafe Certification preferred.
Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, or cook, or other relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the line in a timely manner.
Perform required side work at the start and end of each shift.
Prepare coffee, decaf coffee, and iced tea as needed.
Supply ice to fill servers’ coolers.
Maintain clean server-line areas.
Keep surfaces, utensils, containers, and other server-line items clean and organized.
Monitor and observe guests’ dining experiences.
Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to requests.
Assist coworkers as situations arise.
Fill in as needed to support smooth and efficient facility operations.
Perform other jobs as assigned.
