About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate degree, preferably a PhD or terminal degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrable skills in the integration of technology and AI into teaching.

  • Specialist qualifications in the areas of networking and IT security, computer architecture, operating systems, cryptography, network security, trust systems, secure systems design, cybersecurity, and applied information security.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • University-level teaching experience in hybrid or online delivery.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or related cybersecurity/networking certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops
  • Preparing and marking assignments, tests and examinations
  • Responding to student inquiries
  • Maintaining regular office hours
  • Invigilating tests and examinations
  • Providing service to the university such as through committees
  • Supervising of teaching assistant(s)
  • Mentorship of students in case competitions
