About The Position

CMTA is a rapidly growing engineering firm recognized nationally for its expertise in sustainable, high-performance building engineering. We foster a collaborative, competitive, innovative, and energetic environment for our engineers and team leaders, employing a holistic approach to consulting engineering, performance contracting, and zero energy projects. We seek engineers who are driven towards excellence and offer exceptional career opportunities. Our Energy Solutions division specializes in Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs), a method for upgrading facilities in a budget-neutral or even budget-positive manner by redirecting utility spending towards facility improvements. This includes scope development, design, bidding, construction management, commissioning, and ongoing energy management. We have a proven track record in designing highly energy-efficient buildings, including zero energy buildings, and possess unparalleled knowledge in the ESPC market. CMTA Energy Solutions offers a comprehensive co-op program for engineering students, providing an immersive experience in Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracting over one or more semesters. Co-ops gain valuable industry skills in a hands-on setting, collaborating with full-time engineers under the supervision of Professional Engineers. The program is designed to cultivate students into potential full-time employees who contribute to the company's growth. We value candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Unlike typical co-op programs, ours allows co-ops to stand out by taking on challenging projects and participating in all stages of multiple Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts, from initial development through implementation. Whether students are interested in identifying and calculating energy savings, developing renovation documents, or gaining field experience, CMTA Energy Solutions aims to exceed expectations. Lighting co-ops will gain practical experience with commercial lighting systems, with the goal of being able to design a complete LED lighting upgrade from scratch by the program's end. These co-ops will directly support our lighting project managers.
