Light Maintenance Laborer Supervisor
About The Position
As a Light Maintenance Laborer Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the Viviano Flower Shop team, helping to deliver on the company's promise of excellence and serving others by delighting people for all of life's celebrations. You will work directly with management and maintenance teams to keep facilities clean and organized, and directly supervise the activities of the maintenance team. Responsibilities include assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, planning, assigning, and directing the work of the maintenance team, scheduling the maintenance team, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced and physical environment
- Able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Able to stand on their feet and walk for 8 hours a day
- Read and speak English
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
Responsibilities
- Sweep and remove large amounts of debris from production departments, coolers, and bays
- Empty 96-gal bins and operate a hi-lo to transport large loads of refuse
- Assist in landscaping grounds by removing weeds, and disposing of leaves and snow when needed
- Stock shelves with inventory items
- Assists other departments with general labor as needed
- Supervise and direct the activities of maintenance team
- Set work schedules
