About The Position

BFS Fleet Service is hiring an experienced Light-Duty Automotive Technician/Service Specialist for its locally owned fleet repair business in Buffalo, New York. The company services cars, vans, pickups, and commercial trucks and operates an expanded facility with more than 30,000 square feet, 36 service bays, and 26 vehicle lifts. The role offers $25–$40 per hour based on experience and qualifications, a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience as an automotive or light-duty technician.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• A dependable work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Own professional hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications.
• New York State inspector’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair cars, vans, pickups, and light-duty commercial vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance and brake, steering, suspension, engine, cooling system, and electrical repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service information to identify problems accurately.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections with clear findings, notes, and photos.
• Document repairs and communicate additional service needs to the service advisor.
• Work with the shop foreman and service team to complete quality repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
