About The Position
Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking Seasonal Worker III - Lift Truck Driver for 2nd Shift. The Seasonal Worker III - Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks within the Distribution Center. This is a temporary seasonal position that supports key DC functions including receiving, shipping, order picking, inventory management, and product put-away, while maintaining compliance with safety standards, GMP, and engineered labor standards.
Requirements
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Powered industrial lift truck qualification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compliance with OSHA, GMP, and safety standards.
- Prior experience operating powered industrial lift trucks
- Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive pallets to and from label lines, wrapper machine, and store product in correct warehouse rows.
- Restock divider sheets and wooden pallets to gallon machines.
- Perform other driver duties as required.
- Maintain open communication with stock controllers and supervisors.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly.
- Comply with OSHA, GMP, and all applicable safety standards.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
