About The Position

UCP Central PA is seeking caring individuals and families to welcome an adult with an intellectual disability into their home. Lifesharing providers share their household, routines, and family life with the person and support them as a valued member of the household. The role includes supporting daily needs, participation in family and community activities, health care, and safety while maintaining required documentation and following state regulations. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Have valid vehicle insurance and homeowners or rental insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• Have access to a personal printer and scanner.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or autism is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care, including assistance with personal needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed.
• Encourage and support participation in family activities, hobbies, and community outings.
• Facilitate medical appointments.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, if necessary.
• Maintain supervision.
• Complete required documentation and follow state regulations.
• Provide a safe and supportive home environment.
