About The Position

UCP Central PA is seeking caring individuals and families to welcome an adult with an intellectual disability into their home. Lifesharing providers share their household, routines, and family life with the person they support, helping make the home a safe and supportive place to grow and thrive. Providers assist with daily needs, encourage participation in family and community life, and support the person’s health and well-being. This is an independently contracted opportunity. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Have valid vehicle insurance and homeowners or rental insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• Have access to a personal printer and scanner.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or autism is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
• Encourage participation in family activities, hobbies, and community outings.
• Facilitate medical appointments.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Maintain supervision.
• Complete required documentation and follow state regulations.
