Requirements
- A minimum age of 16 years
- Current certifications in: Lifeguarding CPR/AED First Aid Oxygen Administration
- A calm, confident presence with strong attention to safety and detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Seeking availability for both weekday and weekend shifts at both locations
Nice To Haves
- A strong swimmer ready to learn
- Willingness to obtain certifications before starting (training opportunities may be available for the right candidate!)
Responsibilities
- Help keep our pools safe by actively monitoring swimmers and responding when needed
- Create a welcoming, positive experience for members and program participants
- Teach engaging swim lessons using the YMCA of the USA swim curriculum (for Swim Instructors)
- Participate in paid training, ongoing education, and team development opportunities
