About The Position

Pearmill is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own email and SMS marketing for clients, from monthly planning and copywriting through campaign production, automated-flow management, and performance reporting. The role works directly with clients and internal growth and creative teams to turn product launches, seasonal moments, and customer behavior into communications that drive purchases and repeat business. This is a hands-on position combining strategy and execution. The manager owns campaign calendars and production, including writing copy, building segments, checking links and offers, testing emails, scheduling sends, and improving lifecycle flows through performance analysis and experimentation. Responsibilities may grow and change as the company grows.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in email, SMS, or lifecycle marketing, including experience supporting e-commerce brands.
  • Experience owning both strategy and execution, including personally building campaigns and automated flows.
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email and SMS platform.
  • Comfort working with Shopify, customer data, segments, and event-based triggers.
  • Strong copywriting skills, including the ability to communicate product details and promotions clearly and accurately in a brand's voice.
  • Understanding of how campaigns and automated flows support conversion, repeat purchases, and retention.
  • Ability to interpret performance data, design useful A/B tests, and assess whether results are promising or need more evidence.
  • Organization and attention to detail, including checking links, discounts, exclusions, and product availability before messages are sent.
  • Proactive communication to obtain needed information and approvals and flag dependencies that put deadlines at risk.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including presenting recommendations and results directly to clients.

  • Write email and SMS copy, including subject lines, preview text, product messaging, calls to action, and test variations, adapting to each client's brand voice.
  • Build, quality-check, segment, schedule, and send email and SMS campaigns; source approved product information, links, and assets from client websites, Shopify, and creative teams.
  • Build and maintain customer segments using purchase history, engagement, product ownership, and lifecycle stage; maintain accurate targeting and exclusions as customer data changes.
