About The Position

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a creative, purpose-driven Life Enrichment Director to design and lead meaningful programs that enhance residents’ daily lives. This leadership role develops experiences that support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being, while fostering connection, engagement, and a vibrant community life.

The Director leads the life enrichment team and collaborates with culinary, clinical, and operations teams. The role also builds relationships with residents and families and makes a visible, meaningful impact on resident engagement and quality of life.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of leadership experience; senior living or healthcare experience preferred.
• Proven ability to design and implement engaging programming.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of state regulations related to life enrichment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Genuine passion for improving the lives of senior adults.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Recreational Therapy, or a related field preferred.
• Leadership experience in senior living or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive life enrichment strategy aligned with residents’ interests and abilities.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule life enrichment associates.
• Plan and facilitate activities, events, outings, and community partnerships.
• Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement outcomes.
• Manage department budget and resources responsibly.
• Ensure programs comply with state regulations and company standards.
• Partner with families to encourage involvement and connection.
• Promote a person-centered approach to engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
