About The Position

The Life Enrichment Assistant enriches residents’ lives under the general direction of the Life Enrichment Director. The role provides high-quality customer service, supports new and prospective residents, plans and schedules activities, assists with transportation, and helps maintain an engaging community environment. This is a part-time position paying $17.00 per hour, scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Weekend availability is required, including occasional weekends for events.

Requirements

Must be able to drive a 14-passenger bus.
Must be available to work weekends and occasionally weekends for events.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality customer service to residents.
Engage with prospective residents during visits.
Conduct welcome orientations for new residents.
Plan monthly programs based on the Whole Person Wellness Model, incorporating at least two of the listed experiences: intellectual, social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual.
Use an iPad to enrich residents’ lives and provide photos for community TVs and Facebook.
Use software applications, programs, and tools used by American House for the Life Enrichment position.
Schedule weekend activities.
Work weekends and occasionally weekends for events.
Represent American House professionally at community events.
Drive a 14-passenger bus.
Provide transportation for group events and personal appointments.
Update seasonal and holiday decorations throughout the building.
Oversee the volunteer program.
Notify the Life Enrichment Director of emergency situations.
