About The Position

Willow Valley Communities is seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Life Enrichment Assistant to help Residents stay active, connected, engaged, and inspired. The position plans and leads recreational and enrichment programs, builds relationships with Residents, coordinates events and outings, and supports individualized programming. The role also includes maintaining records and equipment, supporting volunteers, and collaborating across departments to create meaningful experiences for Residents.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in recreation, activities, hospitality, education, customer service, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational and enrichment programs.
• Encourage Residents to build friendships and participate in activities.
• Lead exercise programs such as stretching, calisthenics, and group sports.
• Coordinate entertainment, special events, and community outings.
• Accompany Residents on outings and provide support during activities.
• Visit Residents who are isolated or unable to attend programs to ensure inclusion.
• Complete initial Resident assessments and assist with individualized programming.
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation.
• Monitor Resident engagement and communicate observations to the care team.
• Support and supervise volunteers.
• Prepare weekly programming schedules and supply requests.
• Maintain and operate program equipment, including audiovisual systems and computers.
• Collaborate with team members across departments to create exceptional Resident experiences.
