About The Position

Monarch/Brandywine is seeking a friendly and supportive Life Enrichment Assistant to work in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The assistant implements assigned programs and events that meet residents’ needs, interests, and capabilities, and helps residents stay engaged in community life. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position paying $16.00 per hour. The role reports to the Life Enrichment Director.

Requirements

Related experience leading programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Windows, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn new applications.
Ability to drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
Ability to perform job activities including standing, walking, sitting, using fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds and use proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing programs that meet residents’ needs and interests.
Help create resident histories and profiles with resident and family involvement.
Engage residents in daily programs and handle program setup and cleanup.
Help create a monthly social program calendar and distribute it to community personnel and residents.
Keep residents engaged between planned programs.
Drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
Attend and participate in scheduled in-service training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
