Life Engagement Manager

About The Position

The Life Engagement Manager creates daily programs and activities that bring joy, connection, and purpose to residents. The role designs engaging events, fosters a welcoming community atmosphere, and supports residents’ cognitive, physical, and social well-being. It also supervises and supports Life Engagement team members, oversees the activities budget, and participates in the Manager-On-Duty rotation.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum one year of experience as an Activity Director or in a similar role.
State-qualified Activities Director with at least six months of dementia care experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to travel locally, with occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and implement group and individual activities that encourage laughter, music, interaction, and mental stimulation.
Design monthly activity calendars and publish a community newsletter.
Conduct activity assessments for new residents and maintain updated quarterly documentation.
Coordinate volunteer programs and Resident Ambassador initiatives.
Participate in resident care conferences and collaborate with other departments.
Organize seasonal and annual community events.
Supervise and support Life Engagement team members.
Oversee the activities budget and ensure cost-effective programming.
Participate in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) rotation.
