About The Position

The Life Engagement Coach (LEC) provides an enriching life experience by coordinating and carrying out life engagement activities for residents. The role supports residents in “Living Life On Purpose” by focusing on physical fitness, brain fitness, dining experience, and social/spiritual enrichment. The position is described as a good fit for compassionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make decisions and act in residents’ best interests.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if required to drive the community vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with seniors.
• Desire to serve and care for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and carrying out the activity calendar and personal schedules for the assigned neighborhood.
• Ensure residents have ample supplies and working technology available.
• Continually invite, encourage, and assist residents to participate in activities.
• Prepare an agenda for evening engagement, present the plan to evening Caregivers, and follow up the next day to ensure it was carried out.
• Assist the team with the monthly budget for food, engagement, and educational activities.
• Communicate and interact with residents, families, and team members in a kind, respectful, and effective way.
• Champion hospitality and provide excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.
• Maintain an attractive home environment that fosters engagement, socialization, and purposeful living.
• Drive the community transportation vehicle for resident outings and appointments.
