About The Position

The Life Engagement Director at Maristone of Franklin develops, implements, and oversees a comprehensive program to enhance residents’ quality of life. The role plans, coordinates, and delivers events and activities addressing residents’ physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs. The Director works with residents, families, the Life Engagement team, and other departments to provide engaging, holistic programming aligned with the organization’s core values.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Activity Director Certified in Indiana.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to innovate and adapt.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Practical interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with residents and coworkers.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds; bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach; and sit for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement varied activities that promote residents’ physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well-being.
• Build positive relationships with residents through regular interaction and engagement.
• Plan and execute events that bring residents and families together for social engagement.
• Manage the Life Engagement budget and use resources efficiently.
• Encourage resident participation and gather feedback to tailor activities to residents’ preferences and needs.
• Work with other departments to support a holistic approach to resident care and engagement.
• Design and implement a comprehensive life engagement program aligned with the organization’s core values.
• Lead and mentor the Life Engagement team, providing guidance and support to ensure quality programming.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
