About The Position

The Life and Registrar Coach will promote continued student engagement in the Excel Center. He/she will oversee, manage, train and evaluate a staff of 3 academic success coaches as well as have a caseload of graduates to assist. Will facilitate the team relationship and meet individually with students to assist in overcoming barriers to each student's educational progress. Through these problem-solving sessions the Life and Registrar Coach will suggest ways in which each student can overcome barriers and continue educational progress. Additional responsibilities include: training new coaches, caseload distribution, conducting informal and formal evaluations and serve on the leadership team. The position will work with the instructional team in meeting the educational objectives and supporting the school's motto: "Relationships, Relevance, and Rigor".

  • Requires occasional local travel/transporting individuals; valid driver's license, up-to-date auto insurance, and good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • five years work experience in a school setting, with at least two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, monitors, and facilitates the work responsibilities for academic coaching department.
  • Performs casework services with students to help identify and resolve barriers to student success.
  • Serves on school leadership team.
  • Collaborates with Lead Teacher to ensure common understanding of the Excel Center course progression among all coaches.
  • Participates in the selection of Life Coaches and the on boarding and training process.
  • Administers assessments to determine the needs of the student.
  • Manages and monitors student information to ensure academic progress.
  • Develops students class schedules and graduation plans, with a rapid turnaround.
  • Collaborates with instructors and other school personnel to monitor student progress and to identify pathways to success.
  • Other duties as assigned.
