About The Position

Behaviour Interactive, headquartered in Montreal, is a leading video game developer creating experiences across PC, console, and mobile platforms. The company is an independent studio with over 1200 employees across studios in Toronto, Rotterdam, and the UK. Behaviour Interactive operates with two core business focuses: Services and Original Games. The Services team collaborates with major gaming and entertainment companies like Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo for work-for-hire development and location-based entertainment. The Original Games unit develops signature IPs, including Dead by Daylight. The Head of Licensing will serve as Behaviour's primary contact for all licensing activities, collaborating closely with the Business Development, Production, and Product teams. This role involves supporting the entire Behaviour portfolio, overseeing both the integration of new licenses into Behaviour's games and the external licensing of Behaviour's brands to third-party partners.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in licensing operations within the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Proven expertise in negotiation, partnership development, and strategic planning.
  • Solid understanding of intellectual property management and brand governance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across creative and business functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 5–9 years of relevant professional experience in licensing, publishing, or business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Behaviour Interactive’s inbound and outbound licensing strategies across the full portfolio.
  • Oversee the integration of third-party licensed content into Behaviour games in collaboration with production, marketing, and product teams.
  • Manage licensing deal processes, including negotiations and contract execution, in partnership with legal and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for licensors, licensees, agents, and external partners.
  • Ensure consistent and compliant use of licensed and Behaviour-owned intellectual property across internal and external initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve licensing processes, operational efficiency, and cross-team alignment.
