About The Position
Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join its clinical team part-time on the PM shift, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The schedule includes various weekdays and regular weekend rotations. Under the direction of an RN or Nurse Manager, the LVN provides direct nursing care, administers medications, and supports residents’ daily healthcare needs at a Medicare-certified skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
Requirements
- Current, active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Flexible availability to work various weekdays and regular weekend rotations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care or sub-acute settings; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and physician orders.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in residents’ clinical conditions and vital signs.
- Provide direct resident care, including meeting comfort, safety, and personal hygiene needs.
- Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic medical records according to facility and regulatory standards.
