Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)- Part Time
About The Position
Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide quality, resident-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented skilled nursing environment. The LVN provides direct nursing care and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants. The role ensures nursing services follow applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. The LVN works closely with the Director of Nursing Services and Nurse Supervisors to support residents’ health, safety, and well-being. The position is part-time, with AM and PM shifts. Compensation is listed as $35–$38 per hour with benefits; the posting also states a rate of $38 per hour.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and treatments according to physician orders and care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor residents’ responses.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing leadership and physicians as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
- Ensure nursing care is delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment among nursing staff.
- Follow federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain infection-control and resident-safety standards.
- Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
- Support quality-improvement and facility care initiatives.
