About The Position

Methodist Hospital Texsan is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The LVN supports patients with complex needs, monitors their condition, documents care, and works with the clinical team to support stabilization and recovery. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing school.
• Active LVN nursing license in Texas. Employees holding an LVN Compact License must obtain a Texas LVN License within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused nursing care for patients with complex needs, including administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions such as cardiac monitoring or respiratory support.
• Observe patients for changes in condition, including changes in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, or neurological signs, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Document timely and accurate updates to support care-team coordination in a high-acuity environment.
• Help patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps.
• Work with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them from intensive care toward recovery.
