About The Position

Crestwood is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within the employee’s scope of practice. The nurse also provides direction to non-licensed personnel in delivering direct client care and operating the unit. The role is based at the 40-bed Selma MHRC, whose programs provide a continuum of mental health care focused on stabilization and recovery. The Healing Center offers an alternative to traditional psychiatric care through collaboration, empowerment, a healing environment, peer providers, family partners, and a recovery-oriented milieu, with the goal of supporting hope, self-empowerment, and recovery potential. The posted schedule lists full-time PM and NOC shifts, as well as on-call PM and NOC shifts. Requirements

Current California licensure as an LVN or LPT.
Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferred.
