About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within the scope of practice. The nurse also directs non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit. This is an on-call role supporting clients in a behavioral health recovery setting.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
