About The Position

30th Street Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. 30th Street Animal Hospital has been a trusted cornerstone of the East Indianapolis community since 1952. Originally founded on the very site we call home today, we have grown into a modern, full-service veterinary hospital — while never losing sight of the personal, family-centered care that has defined us for over 70 years. Our state-of-the-art facility features six exam rooms, a fully equipped surgical suite, a dedicated isolation ward, and advanced diagnostic capabilities, giving our team the tools to provide the highest quality care right here in the East Indy and Lawrence community. Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
