About The Position

PetWow is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced veterinary hospital where advanced technical skills, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. Licensed Veterinary Technicians play a critical role in induction/anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and patient recovery, partnering closely with veterinarians to deliver exceptional medical care. Team members should be comfortable working within operating hours and maintaining flexibility as scheduling needs arise. While primarily based at one hospital, occasional coverage at nearby hospitals may be requested. Candidates with reliable availability, adaptability, and a collaborative, team-focused approach will be successful.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Includes some evenings, a Saturday rotation, and an occasional holiday
  • Physically capable of restraining large animals, lifting heavy loads, and standing for extended periods
  • CVT, LVT, or RVT credential REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, anesthesia induction, and surgical setup
  • Intubate canine and feline patients and monitor anesthesia throughout procedures
  • Perform dental procedures
  • Take digital radiographs and collect laboratory samples for diagnostic testing
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care
