About The Position

Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center is searching for a compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals. You’ll have the opportunity to use your technical skills, support patients throughout every stage of care, and work alongside teammates who genuinely appreciate one another. At Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center, work-life balance is more than a promise. We don’t schedule nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours, and our Saturday shifts run only from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM on a rotating basis, leaving most weekends free. Requirements

  • A current veterinary technician license.
  • A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary care.
  • Strong clinical, technical, and patient-nursing skills.
  • Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, surgery, and dentistry.
  • Compassionate, clear, and confident client communication skills.
  • A commitment to Fear Free or low-stress patient handling.
  • A positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • A desire to continue growing professionally while encouraging the growth of others.
  • A willingness to contribute to a workplace where teammates genuinely value and support one another.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs while maintaining hospital imaging standards.
  • Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC and chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
