About The Position

Join our growing team at VCA VREC of Westbury and help provide exceptional care to pets in our community! We’re seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency and Critical Care department on our OVERNIGHT shifts at our 24-hour Emergency/Specialty hospital. At VCA VREC, we encourage growth and development, offering training opportunities and a collaborative environment. Expand your skills with cutting-edge technology like CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We support full technician skill utilization and provide gold-standard medicine with a focus on patient care. Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience
• Licensed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Imaging and advanced procedures
• Paid on-call availability
