Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or PLPC)

Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City has an immediate opening for a licensed therapist. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those with mental health issues. Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or related human services field.
- Unrestricted Arkansas licensure required.
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LAC (preferred).
- Will consider PLMSW or PLPC with stipulations.
- At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience preferred.
- Two years’ experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse preferred (not required if holding an appropriate Master’s degree).
- Experience with group work modalities and techniques.
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations.
- Successful completion of CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities
- Psychosocial assessment of new patients; developing an update or detailed reassessment of the patient
- Maintains contact with family and significant others in the patient’s life when appropriate and provides patient and family education, support, and advocacy
- Provides coordination and acts as liaison with community based social and mental health agencies
- Facilitates discharge planning and conducts post discharge follow-up to assure that linkage of the patient with community resources has occurred reducing re-hospitalization
- Facilitate groups with patients daily
