About The Position

Signet Health is partnering with Northern Maine Medical Center to establish new Outpatient Senior Adult Behavioral Health and Cardiopulmonary Rehab programs in Fort Kent, Maine. These programs are slated to open in early spring. We are seeking immediate full-time Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) for hospital positions. Northern Maine Medical Center provides a comprehensive benefits package and salary. This role involves direct patient care, including intake assessments, treatment planning, facilitating patient progress, and providing individual, couples, family, or group therapy. The provider must demonstrate the skills to deliver care appropriate for the senior adult population.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
Maine licensure as a LCSW or LPC
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively provide quality patient care
Working knowledge of the principles of growth and development
Working knowledge of the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the geriatric patient population
Proven skills in written/verbal communications
Proven skills in problem solving
Proven independent decision making abilities
Proven creativity
Proven prioritization skills
Necessary computer-related skills

Nice To Haves

2 years of related work experience in an outpatient or inpatient behavioral health setting
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
